The Kane Company Closes Sale of Raymond Industrial Property
Portsmouth, NH – June 2010 - The Kane Company is pleased to announce that the property located at 13 Center Street in Raymond, NH has been sold. This 52,000 SF industrial property is situated on a 10 acre lot and was formerly occupied by a plastics manufacturer. Fisher Auto Parts will now be using the building as a central warehouse for their expanding operations in New Hampshire, where they operate under the name of Robbins Auto Parts.

The new owners selected the property after an extensive search throughout southern New Hampshire. This property is ideally situated midway between Portsmouth and Manchester and is just off Exit 5 of Route 101. The property representative for the new owner noted “the property on Center Street is ideal for our business needs. The Kane Company did an excellent job throughout the process, keeping us informed and responding to our questions and requests. The Kane Company sells 15,000 SF Building in Newburyport Industrial Park
Newburyport, MA – December 3, 2009 - Anthony Triglione, Broker, with The Kane Company, Inc. has recently completed the sale of 6 Mulliken Way in Newburyport, MA. The 15,000 sf manufacturing facility was formerly occupied by Northeast Quality Products. It sold for $ 850,000 and is now going to be utilized for storage by neighboring company, Strem Chemical. The 20+ year old building had limited market interest because of its low clear height and high percentage (30%) of dated office space. “The buyer had previously passed on purchasing the property several years ago but due to a significant price reduction from the Seller and Strem’s immediate need for additional warehouse space, the transaction was brought to a successful close”, says Triglione.

Portsmouth, NH – May 28, 2009 – Trek Bicycles Portsmouth has leased 6,178 square feet of retail space at the Lafayette Plaza, located at 775 Lafayette Road in Portsmouth, NH, from Lafayette Partners of Michigan LP.  Jody Skaff of The Kane Company listed and leased the space.

Trek Bicycles Portsmouth, specializing in the sale and maintenance of bicycles and merchandise related to the cycling industry, will be locally owned and operated.  This full-service cycling store, which will be exclusive for the Greater Portsmouth area, will be in partnership with Trek Bicycle Corporation, based in Waterloo, Wisconsin. Cycling products from companies such as Trek, Gary Fisher, Guru, Shimano, Oakley, and Giro, among other brands, will be featured. Trek has the expertise to meet the needs of the most experienced cyclist but will also cater to every member of the family. Finding the right size and type of bicycle for each person’s needs is what Trek does best. Cycling champion Lance Armstrong won all seven of his Tour De France victories on a Trek bike.

O Steak & Seafood, currently operating in Laconia, is adding a second location in Concord at Capital Commons. This award-winning restaurant, upscale yet warm and welcoming, specializes in steaks, seafood, sandwiches and salads. It will offer full bar service, including a wide range of select wines. The Concord location will include a casual bar area, outdoor seating and a private dining club component which is a new concept for Concord.

Scott Oullette, owner/chef, has been in the restaurant business for over 20 years.  He has opened three restaurants (Canoe, O Steaks & Seafood, and The North End Restaurant) as well as a catering division, (Magic Food Productions) in the Lakes Region area over the last seven years. Scott was looking for another opportunity in New Hampshire when The Kane Company introduced him to the Capital Commons property in Concord.

Margot McKean and Jody Skaff of The Kane Company first toured Ouellette through the space in April of 2008 after McKean had visited the Laconia restaurant and knew it was the right fit for Capital Commons. They promptly introduced Ouellette to Capital Commons Owner Michael Simchik and the negotiations to bring this restaurant to Concord began immediately. The restaurant is scheduled to open in November of 2009.

ProDev, Inc., purchases 21,000 SF industrial building at Salisbury Industrial Park
Triglione of Kane Company sells 21,000 SF Building to ProDev, Inc., pushing total sales at Salisbury Industrial Park over 101,000 SF.

Salisbury, MA – February 19, 2009 -Anthony Triglione, Broker, with The Kane Company, Inc. has recently completed the sale of 5 Fanaras Drive in Salisbury Massachusetts to ProDev.  This sale represents the final property disposition for Salisbury Industrial Park, LLC, where Triglione has sold 3 buildings over the last 2 years  totaling 81,000 SF.

ProDev, Inc., previously headquartered in Seabrook, NH, had outgrown their facility.  They had been looking for the perfect facility for several years and had made several unsuccessful bid attempts for other properties.  After engaging The Kane Company as their Exclusive Buyer Representative,  Triglione negotiated a deal with Salisbury Industrial Park, LLC in an off-market transaction.

According to Stan Kench, Vice President and General Manager of ProDev, Inc.,  “we were attracted to this location in the Salisbury Industrial Park because of the low property tax rates and the great highway access for our employees who commute from Southern New Hampshire and North Shore Massachusetts”.

Financing was arranged by Eastern Bank and the Small Business Administration.

This transaction brings the total square footage of property successfully leased or sold by Triglione and The Kane Company in the Salisbury Industrial Park to 101,000 sf.

The Kane Company leases over 75,000 SF at Portsmouth Commerce Center

Portsmouth, NH – May 1, 2008 – Pannaway Technologies has leased 27,350 SF of office space at 230 Commerce Way from Dornoch, LLC. InTown Veterinary Group has leased 15,728 SF of office space at 215 Commerce Way from Tain Properties LLC.  InTown Veterinary Group is a Massachusetts based company with four locations in northern Massachusetts.  They will be opening a 24-hour, 7-day a week emergency and critical care referral hospital in Portsmouth.  Margot McKean of The Kane Company listed the space and Tad Lee of Meredith & Grew in Boston procured the tenant. 

Irving Oil has renewed their lease for 29,332 SF of office space at 190 Commerce Way and 170 Commerce Way from Commerce Center Trust LLC.  Irving Oil is headquartered in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, with United States marketing operations in Portsmouth, NH.  Margot McKean of The Kane Company negotiated the lease renewal on behalf of Commerce Center Trust LLC.

Robert Half International has renewed their lease for 2,635 SF of office space at 230 Commerce Way from Dornoch, LLC.  Robert Half International is a worldwide staffing placement company that specializes in finance/accounting, technology, legal, administrative, and marketing/creative staffing services.  Margot McKean and Bob Marchewka of The Kane Company negotiated the lease renewal on behalf of the Landlord; Margaret O’Brien of CBRE-New England negotiated the lease renewal on behalf of the Tenant.

AAA Northern New England relocates their Portsmouth, NH office
AAA Northern New England, has leased 2,850+/-SF of retail space in the Bowl-O-Rama Plaza on Lafayette Road in Portsmouth.
